Don’t be in too much of a hurry.

Exactly, one thing (amongst many) I learned a while back is to slow down at times, look at what you are doing / have done, look again and look again. When working on a project it’s more important to get to the beginning before you look at the end. I guess the moral is that I need to focus on whatever story I’m working on and plan more, look at the start and make an impact, draw the readers in, get them interested. Make sure the story is strong throughout and doesn’t just meander part way through and have a strong ending. Something that will want my readers to read again, buy another of my stories etc.
